From the Ontario Newsroom: Ontario Partnering with ALUS Canada to Protect Species at Risk
ILDERTON — The Ontario government is providing $561,000 to ALUS Canada for a three-year project targeting ecosystems in Southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area.
WHO WE ARE
ALUS Grey Bruce began operation as a pilot program in 2012. It was one of the earliest Ontario chapters of ALUS Canada. One decade later, over 1000 acres have been enrolled in ALUS projects in Grey and Bruce counties.
ALUS Grey Bruce assists producers with projects like tree planting, wetland creation, buffer enhancement, exclusion fencing, grassland planting and preservation, and pollinator habitat creation. If you are a producer interested in implementing one of these projects on marginal land on your farm, please fill in our expression of interest form, found below.
PROJECTS

To be eligible for ALUS funding, projects must meet the following requirements:
project is located on marginal farmland
an active Farm Business Registration Number is available
an up to date Environmental Farm Plan is encouraged
Projects are reviewed by an ALUS Grey Bruce Partnership Advisory Committee in order to be approved.
