An event run in partnership between OMAFA, OSCIA staff, and a local host committee, Compaction Days demonstrate the impact of farm equipment on soil compaction in real time before an audience. Pressure sensors buried in soil show vehicle impact on a large presentation screen and commentators share background on the equipment, tire configuration, total weight and more.
Real time data on the screen will show the effect of various tire configurations and loading styles. A wide range of equipment will be included in the 2026 line-up - everything from combines and grain buggys to forage harvesting equipment to potato trucks!
Compaction days integrate other complimentary educational content too - this event will include stations highlighting cover crops, tire configurations and ballasting, and manure management. You can also visit exhibitor booths, check out equipment on display and enjoy a catered lunch in the middle. We hope you'll be joining us for an exciting day!
